Been a hell of a productive week!
As mentioned, I set myself the following goals, at least until the end of the year (or as long as the enthusiasm permits)
Well we are well on track, with 15 musketeers already completed. I finished off both packs I got from Salute this year, which sets me up with a core of muskets for my Irish contingent. Managed to get at least 2-3 miniatures done everyday since my last post. Kind of eye opening really, how quickly I can get these projects off the ground with a little effort each evening. Bicorne order is in which covers the rest of the Shot units by filling them out with some reloading, at ready and more firing poses with the classic blue bonnets. This will add some color to the drab look I went for the units. Officer is likely to get some fancy clothes though.
Pikemen are ready to be base-coated also, just need to get their spears glued on and I've got the other half on the way also. I'm way ahead of project timeline so will be getting both wings of shot done and the pike before moving onto Covenanters. You usually need the 2:1 ratio of shot to pike, even in Pikeman's lament. I'll be away for two weeks as of Friday, but my goal is to try and get all the Pike done (if my order shows up) before then.
Still trying to figure out a basing scheme, something different for this project is in need for sure. But likely will be basing them all in one go to save time.
Some pictures of completed models from this week and works in progress.
